Give Thanks [2015/5/3]

Thank You Jesus for the wonderful worship. I loved the message today. Let us always remember that You are always with us and You always protect us just as you have protected the Israeli people when they were crossing the river of Jordan.

1. Father, thank You for everything. We just want to praise for all the blessings that You have given us.

2. Jesus, thank You for the wonderful church. It is such a blessing to be able to worship in a church that is focused on You, a church that tries the best to live by Your laws :D Father, I pray that our church becomes more loving so we can spread Your love.

3. Thank You God for wonderful fellowship. We are still weak and healing. Father, I pray that we become healed and become one under You, Christ.

4. Thank You Lord for another productive day. Wow...so much data cleaning but almost there. Thank You for showing me additional resources about IPOs.

5. Thank You Jesus for wonderful friends. They are such blessings.

6. Father, thank You for being able to believe in You. I sometimes wonder how my life would be without You. Lord, thank You for bringing me out of the darkness and opening my eyes.

7. Jesus, I thank You for Korea Town. Yes, it is dirty and there is crime but we have good Korean food ^^ Thank You for the great Korean food.

Father, we just want to thank You for all the blessings that You have given us. Let us be more holy and live by Your word. We fail often but let us repent and become stronger in You.

What I have learned today [2015/5/3]

1. Ohhh Turkish sand coffee looks good :D I guess the even heating from the sand makes the coffee more consistent?

2. Hong Kong uses the DNA from litter to construct pictures of litters. Pretty clever :p

3. Dufl provides a service of delivering travel bags to frequent travelers who does not want to pack their bags. Basically, the traveler shows how he wants his bag to be organized and sends to Dufl's storage and when he travels Dufl sends the bag to his destination's hotel. I guess it's a nice idea but I just wonder about insurance and having it picked up by Fedex. I guess good hotels will do it for the guest but for other destinations hmmm....

4. There are lot of IPO investment advisory services. I wonder how good they are.

5. I learned that working too many hours makes me quite dizzy...oooh my head is going to explode...I sort of knew this...but a reminder. Health comes first.

Give Thanks [2015/5/2]

Thank You Father for another productive day. Jesus, we confess that we are sinners and that we are very weak and flawed without You. Father, please fill our hearts with love and joy. Let us become the light and the salt of this world. Jesus make us more holy everyday.

1. Thank You God for curry. I craved curry but I was too lazy. Today, I final did it. It tastes gooood.

2. Thank You Father for the vacuum cleaner. Cleaning is so much easier. Also, I love the fact that it has no pouch. I remember what a hassle it was to change pouches ugh...

3. Thank You Jesus for my computer. Yes, it crashes four times making me waste almost three hours but I learned to appreciate my computer more. Thank You monitor, you are also an MVP.

4. Thank You God for giving us wisdom. I learned about my data cleaning mistakes and fixed them wooohooo.

5. Thank You Jesus for a nice pleasant walk. I wish I could have walked longer but deadlines are deadlines.

6. Thank You Jesus for Your word. I am learning and still need to learn but I understand Your laws a bit more now.

7. Father, I just want to thank You for air conditioning. Awww...modern invention so good. Refrigerator, you  are a blessing too :D

8. Jesus, thank You for the garage sale. Although I could not help much. 

Thank You Father for all that You have given us. Let us be more humble and loving. Let us win sin. Let us become Your spotless and blameless lamb. Father, thank You so much and please be with us because we need You :D

What I have learned today [2015/5/2]

1. Littlebits provides blocks of hardware that by magnet which enables individuals to learn about engineering :D They look awesome. I will get one soooon [Need to save first]

 2. Many firms have weird names such as Blonder Tongue Laboratories and New Found Shrimp....Yup, one of the things, you learn when you clean the data a lot.

3. Really, wonder how to data base firms verify data...Yes, there is quite lot of mistakes...

4. Garage sales are quite interesting and if you have some time, you can really get things cheaply and even make a profit by reselling.

5. Net-net sort of works in international markets where there is some inefficiency.

6. You can speed up matching if you do it in chunks...Yeah...I knew this but always relied on brute power until my computer froze...

7. Tesla batteries could really make remote living quite more comfortable.

Give Thanks [2015/5/1]

Thank You Jesus for an extremely work intensive day. From 8 am to 1am....Well, my eyes burned but I learned that I should really focus on You. Sometimes I believe I just get lost in my research...(well, I have a deadline). Father, let us always focus on You and You alone :D

1. Thank You God for your wisdom. I realized my coding errors....twice!! Thank You for giving me the wisdom. Father, thank You for the data cleaning talent that You have given me.

2. Thank You Jesus for being able to thank. Father, You have given us so much yet we are so ungrateful. Give us loving hearts.

3. Thank You Father for  Coke. Yes, it is full of sugar but sometimes the fizziness just makes your day.

4. Thank You Jesus for internet. Yes, it is so amazing that there is so much information out there and we can learn so much at our own time and at our own pace. I pray that others also enjoy the fruits of the internet.

5. Thank You Jesus for electricity. Without energy, life would be quite hard...Thank You.

6. Thank You Father for forgiving our sins. We sin so much everyday. Jesus, I pray that I grow more holy in You.

7. Thank You for kindle. I should go work for Amazon :P

Father, we just want to thank You for everything. I have only did work and did not focus on You. Forgive me for my lack of faith and make me whole. Jesus, let us seek Your face more. Let us keep Your law and be more loving.

Give Thanks [2015/4/30]

Thank You Jesus for another day. It was extremely busy that I even forgot to the dishes until 1 am...but Lord thank You for another blessed day. Let us focus more on You and not the world.

1. Thank You God for providing me with beautiful images. I had trouble finding pictures on Zooniverse but today I found a lot of good pictures :D

2. Thank You Jesus for helping me wake up and move my car. Also, thank You for the lovely walk. I should really walk in the morning. So nice. I love the relatively cool air and breeze ^^

3. Thank You Father for lovely sisters in Christ. We had a good fellowship and great food. Father, I pray that You watch over them so that they can grow more in You.

4. Thank You God for coffee....I love coffee...Good thing it has health benefits and it is not so expensive.

5. Thank You Jesus for my lovely chair. Ahh..so nice.

6. Thank You Lord for nice breezes. It is hot these days but a cool breeze can really make us feel better.

7. Thank You Father for Stata. Yes, I love Stata. Thank You for not crashing. Sometimes it crashes but rarely :p

Thank You Father for everything because You have blessed us so much. Let us be more faithful to You and more loving. We know that we are very weak and flawed but Father give us Your Spirit so we can expand Your Kingdom ^^

What I have learned today [2015/4/30]

1. IPO data has a lot of errors. When combining data sets make sure that the errors do not compound because it will make a mess!

2. Defense companies do not have much fixed cost. It is all variable and part of the pension is paid by the government! wow! Not too enthusiastic in supporting defense companies although they are necessary.

3. BLS is quite independent from the executive branch. I sort of the head that feeling but it is nice to know that it is run by career bureaucrats.

4. Many IPOs are acquired quite soon.

5. India's GDP is 80% consumed by Indians so as long as India grows (which it is), expect to see lot of billion dollar companies :D
